Technical information: Prior to conceptualising this project we pledged the intent to achieve a holistic solution to either physical or emotional hardships created by flooding in Thailand. This very solution should not address merely the symptom of a problem but instead tackle its very root and encompass benefits on a larger scale to the Thai people.
Functions and Use: This solution utilises available infrastructure and public architecture to allow commuters to monitor which roads are safe to use. Using numbers and a colour warning system it indicates which roads can be walked through, driven through or where travel is only possible by boat. The concept is that people can see
the information immediately and do not require any police assistance to safely travel. It will prevent many cases of people getting stuck and vehicles getting damaged by misjudging hazardous water depths. In addition we conceptualized a special sign language featuring an upwards pointing arrow to indicate incrementing depths and slopes in the road ahead.
