Technical information: Dangerous diseases that are associated with flooding include influenza, dengue fever, pneumonia, diarrhea and leptospirosis. These diseases have early symptoms that are similar to a simple cold, which may cause misdiagnosis. If no proper treatment is given, the diseases can be fatal. Most people do not take early symptoms seriously when, in fact, with detailed and accurate logging of early symptoms, accurate diagnosis can be reached promptly.
Functions and Use: The record paper categorizes symptoms into three groups: early symptoms, common symptoms and distinctive symptoms. Patients/caretakers should record all symptoms since the first day the symptoms appear and compare them with the chart that lists all symptoms associated with the five diseases.
This would help the patients/caretakers be aware of potential infection and know how to give basic treatment or where to reach medical assistance. The record paper also gives doctors accurate information about the sickness since day one, which is very essential for accurate diagnosis.
